Sustainable Charity

The Turner Foundation is known as a “Sustainable Charity” as it sets up viable businesses in the communities where it works. Those businesses generate an annual profit which then gets injected back into the local community allowing a perpetual charitable investment every year.

In the case of Mtito Andei, selling water for profit supports over 300 orphans a year so they can go to school. The eventual aim of the Foundation is to repeat this charitable business model into many communities in Africa and around the world.
